Dynamic Hand Simulation with Strands

چکیده
We have developed a framework for simulating muscles and tendons using a dynamic modeling primitive, a “strand,” based on cubic spline curves with inertia [Sueda et al. 2008]. With this framework, we do not require moment-arm data; the tendons are simulated dynamically as stiff hyper-elastic strands simultaneously with the bones. We are able to simulate the dynamics of the intricate mechanisms of the finger, which was not possible with previous approaches. The lumbrical, for example, with its looped connections to the flexor tendon and the extensor mechanism, can be simulated effectively using our framework.

Evaluation of Dynamic Probing Testing Effect in Hand Excavated Pit on Test Results Using Numerical Modeling
In Iran, using the hand excavated pits (wells) have been more common compared to other countries. As a matter of fact, recent years, utilizing the dynamic probing test (DPT) in these types of pits has been significantly developed in Iran. This is while the standard state of doing this test is from the ground level. In this work, the dynamic probing test is carried out in two similar wells with ...

Microtubule Affinity-Regulating Kinase 2 (MARK2) protein has a substantial role in regulation of vital cellular processes like induction of polarity, regulation of cell junctions, cytoskeleton structure and cell differentiation. The abnormal function of this protein has been associated with a number of pathological conditions like Alzheimer disease, autism, several carcinomas and development of...
متن کاملFracture Dynamic Propagation Model of High-Energy Gas Fracturing for Casing Perforated Well
The onshore oil and natural gas industries of China have started a large-scale development when crude oil reserves have been difficult to recover. The stratum fracture modification is an indispensable measure to efficiently develop oil and gas fields. Hydraulic fracturing is the most important reservoir stimulation technique, but it is still faced with various problems such as the failure to fr...
متن کاملSimplified Representations for Modeling Hair
We present a novel framework for modeling hair using simplified representations. The set of representations, including individual strands, clusters and patches, are derived from Dynamic-NURBS and have the same underlying base skeleton. Our framework supports automatic simplification of dynamic simulation, collision detection and graphical rendering of hair, and offers flexibility to balance bet...
